Bio

Phasmid is a Leeds-based DJ and producer crafting dark, driving UK bass music across breakbeat, UK garage, electro, jungle and 160 BPM terrain. Founder of the independent imprint Taipan Trax, he has built a catalog of club-focused releases on labels including Gimme A Break Records, Scuffed Recordings and his own platform, earning support from selectors across the UK hardcore continuum. His May 2026 debut album Dark Forest Theory — described as his most ambitious work to date — moves between intricate sound design and heavier, dancefloor-ready energy while staying unified by his signature sub-heavy aesthetic. Tracks like "Deadpan" and remixes such as "Heavyweight" have circulated through underground radio and DJ sets, and he is booked for major festivals including Outlook Origins 2026 alongside peers like Doctor Jeep, JIALING and Ehua. Based between Leeds and London, Phasmid represents the kind of active, label-minded producer building momentum through consistent releases and a distinct sonic identity.
