Ovrkast. (Silas Wilson) is a rapper and record producer from East Oakland, California. He began posting beat tapes to Bandcamp and SoundCloud in 2016 and broke through in 2019 producing 'EL TORO COMBO MEAL' on Earl Sweatshirt's Feet of Clay EP. His solo debut album Try Again arrived in 2020, followed by a Deluxe edition in 2021. He co-founded the Oakland rap collective Lo-Fiction alongside Demahjiae and Nimsins, known for nostalgic boom-bap textures. His signature production blends sped-up low-fi beats, off-kilter timing, soul samples and live instrumentation, with credits spanning Earl Sweatshirt, Mavi, Pink Siifu and Drake. Most recent work includes the album While The Iron Is Hot (May 2025) and the single 'Wata' (April 2026).
