Oilix
Oilix is the stage name of Danil Tastukhov, a music producer and beatmaker based in Taraz, Kazakhstan. He began experimenting with music software in the early 2000s, grew up surrounded by his father's reel, cassette, and vinyl collection, and has composed soundtracks for video games and commercials under his real name since 2013. The Oilix project channels his love of video-game scores into mellow lo-fi and jazz-beats instrumentals built to help listeners unwind. Over eight-plus years of releases he has landed on Spotify's Jazz Vibes playlist, put out music via Chill Beats, Vinyl Digital, and Hip Dozer, and appeared on compilations for Blue Note Records and Astralwerks. His 2024 album Dissolved on Cold Busted extended his "sunhop" blend of trip-hop and downtempo grooves, and he kept the momentum going into 2026 with singles like Weightless and The Way You Stay.
