Bio

Ohbliv (Bradford Caudle) is a prolific instrumental hip-hop producer and beatmaker from Richmond, Virginia, widely regarded as a 'producer's producer' and a godfather of the SP-404 sampler. He describes his sound as 'oddly hypnotic, mesmeric visions of a musical utopia where hip hop dances with RnB, flirts with Jazz, and travels with ambient music' — soulful, sample-driven boom-bap with healing, cosmic tones. Over a career spanning more than a decade he has built a deep catalog of beat tapes and albums, including his 2026 LP 'Kurio,' and was selected for Fat Beats' 'Baker's Dozen' instrumental series. He is a cornerstone of Richmond's beat scene, affiliated with the Mutant Academy collective and the 80404 Club, and has collaborated extensively with Fly Anakin, Nickelus F and SadhuGold (as the duo Czardust). His work has been called 'mesmerizing' by The Fader and profiled by Bandcamp Daily as 'the humble high priest' of Richmond's beat scene.
