Nixxy Rain is the solo liquid drum & bass project of Dave Kennett — formerly one half of SpectraSoul, the British duo that shaped a signature sound across three albums and a decade of global touring. Relaunching under this alias in 2025, Kennett brings a more instinctive, vocal-led approach grounded in deep musicality and liquid foundations. His debut EP Built From Silence arrived on his own Nixxy Rain Music imprint, followed by 2026 singles on Hospital Records ('Lawyer' for Hospital30) and a run of releases including Momentum, Sweet Thing, and If I Had It All. UKF featured the project in 2026, noting Kennett's focus on producing vocalists rather than just sounds — creating space for gospel, soul, and jazz-influenced voices over rolling 174bpm breaks.
