Nikki Nair

Bio

Nikki Nair is a DJ and producer born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, now based in Atlanta, Georgia. Raised in an Indian-American family, he started drum lessons at age eight and fell hard for drum & bass in the mid-2000s. A chance meeting with Underground Resistance's Mike Banks in Detroit pushed him to start producing his own music and throwing parties back home under the TEKNOX collective. Since his 2018 debut, his unpredictable, genre-melting club music — nodding to footwork, dubstep, breakbeat, UK garage and soundsystem culture — has earned releases on UK and US labels including Scuffed Recordings, Mr Mitch's Gobstopper, Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird, Breaks N' Pieces and Hyperdub. Hugely prolific, with recent 2026 collaborations such as 'Together' (with Jessy Lanza & Prentiss), Nair has become one of US underground dance music's most restless and respected producers, championed by FACT, DJ Mag, Mixmag and Beatport.
