Nikita, the Wicked
Nikita, the Wicked is a San Francisco-based DJ and producer crafting what he calls 'Beautiful Darkness' — an elegant, cinematic strain of bass music that blends UK garage, future bass, trap and experimental sound design. He began making hip hop beats in 2016 and launched the NTW project in July 2020, drawing inspiration from artists like Skrillex, ISOKNOCK, Apashe and pluko. By 2023 he had released his debut EP on San Holo's acclaimed bitbird label, and his single 'Like Me' cracked Top 50 Songs of 2024 lists and landed him on Breakout Producers of 2024 roundups. His 2025 EP 'Blinded by Vanity' wove orchestral elements into heavy low-end, and he has kept up a relentless 2025-2026 release pace with singles like 'HORSEPOWER' and 'DO AS I SAY'. A vocal advocate that 'experimentation will lead to the evolution of bass music,' he is firmly in the rising mid-tier of the US bass scene.
