Mu540 (pronounced Muzao, real name Murilo) is a producer and DJ from Praia Grande in the Baixada Santista region of Sao Paulo, recognized for fusing the pulsing drums of funk paulista with international electronic styles like grime, drill and house. Active in the Sao Paulo scene for over a decade, he has produced for and collaborated with artists such as Tasha & Tracie, Kyan, Deize Tigrona, MC GW and Rincon Sapiencia, and worked with Marshmello and Tropkillaz on the 2024 track Movimenta. His Boiler Room Sao Paulo set went viral globally, and in 2026 he became one of the first funk artists booked for Lollapalooza India. Most of his releases are collaborations, placing him firmly as a producer driving other artists.
