Bio

Moonchild is a Los Angeles-based neo-soul and jazz trio formed at the University of Southern California, comprising vocalist and woodwind player Amber Navran, multi-instrumentalist Max Bryk, and multi-instrumentalist Andris Mattson. Since their 2015 debut, they've released six acclaimed albums — including Be Free (2017), Voyager (2019), Little Ghost (2021), Starfruit (2023), and Waves (2026) — garnering a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album (Starfruit, 2023) and accumulating over 200 million streams on Spotify and Apple Music. The trio blends velvety vocals, intricate horn arrangements, jazz-rooted harmony, and forward-thinking production, landing them on tour with Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder, and The Internet. Amber Navran, the band's singer and producer, brings woodwind arrangements and production skill that distinguish the group from typical neo-soul acts, and she has been recognized independently as a producer-instrumentalist in her own right.
