Moods
Moods is the project of Nick Lubbersen, a producer and beatmaker from Rotterdam, Netherlands. His sound fuses lo-fi instrumental hip-hop in the lineage of Pete Rock, J Dilla and Nujabes with soul, R&B and alternative influences, often recorded live with a full band. A prolific collaborator, he produces for and works with a deep roster of vocalists including Wayne Snow, Noah Slee, August Charles, Munan, Lyriya and Meron. His 2021 album Music Ruined My Life is a touchstone of the modern beat-soul scene, and he remains highly active, releasing through 2026, with 32 of his 50 recent releases being collaborations with other artists.
