Montell2099 (Montell Pinny) is a producer from Katikati / Auckland, New Zealand, and one of the most prominent electronic talents to emerge from Aotearoa. Mixing bubbling VST melodies, manipulated vocal snippets and booming bass, his genre-bending club sound has earned co-signs from RL Grime, 21 Savage, Mura Masa, What So Not, Alison Wonderland, Charli XCX and Soulection founder Joe Kay. His 2017 debut single 'Hunnid on the Drop' featuring 21 Savage passed 6 million streams, and in 2022 he became the first New Zealand act to play Belgium's Tomorrowland. He continues to release prolifically, with the EP DUALITY (2025) and the single 'How I Feel' (2026).
