Monsieur Teddy is the solo project of French bassist and producer Teddy Toursiere, blending jazz, soul, funk, and lo-fi into warm, groove-led instrumentals. With 17 years of playing experience — starting on violin before settling on bass — he spent 2010–2022 performing live with projects including CHROMATIK, a jazz/hip-hop group that recorded four albums and played festivals across France. In 2022 he shifted toward daily Instagram bass videos that racked up millions of views, which became the spark for Monsieur Teddy as a production project. His catalog includes releases like High Tide, Underpass, Spring Night, Sun Kiss, Sunday Eve, and Blue Universe, with features and collabs alongside Hayjee, Nina Gat, Anbuu, Nahokimama, and Toshiki Soejima.
