Mononome is a Greek music producer from Thessaloniki who has been releasing music since 2011, becoming one of the key figures of his generation within the European beat-producing scene. Using samples, live instrumentation and electronics, he crafts a signature sound that blurs the line between future beats and old-school production, layered with deep trip-hop, soul and jazz influences. His breakthrough album 'Come Close' (2012) led to multiple tours across Europe, sharing stages with the likes of Wax Tailor, Chinese Man, Thievery Corporation, Nightmares On Wax, DJ Krush, Ras G and Gramatik. His music has received airplay on tastemaker radio stations including L.A.-based KCRW and Paris-based NOVA and Le Mellotron, and has been featured on Bandcamp Daily. Releasing through Beatquick Records, he remains prolific, dropping new singles almost every two weeks.
