Bio

Mon Qalamari is a Mexican DJ, producer, and founder of LAGA Records. Known for his distinctive indie dance sound infused with acid funk, disco, and heavy percussion, he creates hypnotic sonic journeys that connect audiences across Latin America. His passion for electronic music emerged from Tulum's vibrant scene, where he developed dual residencies at Grupo Gitano and Vagalume while building connections from jungle venues to Mexico City cultural hubs. His sound bridges Latin energy with European production sophistication, with tracks reaching listeners from Mexico City to Buenos Aires and São Paulo. Through collaborations with Musumeci, Theus Mago, Ben Gomori, and Funk District, he has earned recognition from the scene's established voices—sharing festival stages and booths with DJ Tennis and Métrika. Beyond the decks, he founded LAGA Records and co-founded La Galería Tropical, championing Latin America's independent music and art community while pushing creative boundaries rooted in the underground.
