Bio

Moka Only is the primary alias of Daniel Denton, a Canadian rapper, singer and record producer based out of Vancouver and Vancouver Island, British Columbia. A genuine icon of Canadian hip-hop, he records under several aliases including Ron Contour and Flowtorch, but is most celebrated as Moka Only for his warm, jazz-inflected production and unmistakable delivery. As co-founder of the multi-platinum group Swollen Members he earned three Juno Awards, seven platinum plaques and seven MMVAs before building a primarily solo catalogue of more than 50 records. One of the most prolific artist-producers in underground hip-hop, he produces his own beats (plus instrumental editions and work for other artists) and has collaborated with legends such as MF DOOM, J Dilla and Grand Puba. His releases span everything from the nature-inspired Arbutus Canyon to his long-running annual Martian XMAS series, and he continues to drop new music constantly through URBNET and his own Bandcamp.
