Bio

Mndsgn (pronounced 'mind design') is Ringgo Ancheta, a producer and multi-instrumentalist born in San Diego, raised in southern New Jersey, and now based in Los Angeles. Coming from a Filipino-American family, he built his name in the LA beat scene and signed to the influential Stones Throw Records, where he became part of the label's new wave alongside the Klipmode collective. His music blends instrumental hip hop, neo-soul, psychedelic soul, jazz and R&B into warm, hand-played productions that 'explore the human condition' and find beauty in the everyday. He is best known for acclaimed albums like Yawn Zen (2014), Body Wash (2016), Rare Pleasure (2021) and Snaxxx (2023), and continues to release new music, with the single 'Are You Lonesome?' arriving in May 2026. A respected figure in the modern beat and soul underground, his work has been championed by tastemakers from KCRW to Stones Throw.
