Bio

Mitch Wong is an Australian-born, Nashville-based Grammy Award-winning songwriter and worship leader who won the 2025 GMA Dove Award for Songwriter of the Year (Non-Artist). Beginning his songwriting journey as a teenager in Australia, Wong moved to Nashville to immerse himself in the professional music community and has since become one of CCM's most sought-after writers. His collaborator list includes CeCe Winans, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Brooke Ligertwood, Kari Jobe, Kim Walker-Smith, Cody Carnes, Jesus Culture, Planetshakers, David and Nicole Binion, Paul Baloche, and Lincoln Brewster, among others. In 2024 he released his debut full-length album 'a beautiful ending, a blessed beginning,' and followed it in 2025 with 'IT NEEDS TO BE SAID' and the single 'Marvelous,' which amassed over 6 million Spotify streams. His music spans energetic praise to intimate, psalm-like worship, always anchored by a desire to create songs that move hearts and serve the Church. With 764,983 monthly listeners on Spotify and a 2026 album release, Wong has built genuine traction as both a hit songwriter for other artists and a rising worship recording artist in his own right.
