Mike Shabb
Mike Shabb is a highly acclaimed rapper, producer, and beatmaker from Montreal, Quebec, with a lifelong dedication to hip-hop. Originally from Sherbrooke, he moved to Montreal at 18 and has been a driving force in the city's English-language rap scene since his 2016 debut Sewaside LP—VICE once dubbed him "the future of Canada hip-hop." His 2024 album Sewaside III earned a 7.6/10 from Pitchfork and a longlist nod for the 2025 Polaris Music Prize, with thirteen of its seventeen tracks entirely self-produced. He has collaborated with Nicholas Craven (Shadow Moses), Estee Nack, Westside Gunn (multiple beat placements), and Boldy James. In 2025–2026 he remains prolific with vinyl releases through Near Mint, projects like Fight the Power! and melted faces vol. 1, and 2026 drops including Hood Olympics II, Maple Flavored, and The Lost Tapes.
