Mattr is the musical alias of Matthew Clugston, a leftfield house and IDM producer originally from Birmingham and now based in East London. His sound sits between emotive electronica and club-ready breaks, drawing on influences from Boards of Canada, Max Cooper, Jon Hopkins and UK bass culture. He co-founded the Helical Scan imprint with Lewyn Stan and has released music on Renaissance, Faceless Recordings, Loft & Sound and his own catalog spanning 100+ tracks. Spotify's official bio notes support from Jamie XX, Jaguar, Max Cooper, Kelly Lee Owens, Laurent Garnier and Anja Schneider.
