Matt Storm

Bio

Matt Storm is a Vancouver-based alt-soul singer-songwriter and self-produced recording artist whose music fuses vintage jazz and soul with modern alternative and psych-rock sounds. A third-culture kid born in Washington state and raised across Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Kenya before settling in Western Canada, he taught himself guitar and started writing at 13. His 2020 single We Went Our Own Ways became a breakout hit (featured on Sailing La Vagabonde and multiple Spotify editorials, now 1.8M+ streams), and he has since toured Slovakia, the UK, and festivals like Rifflandia and Vancouver Mural Fest. His self-produced EP Spilt (2024) was mixed by Grammy-nominated Ben Kane and landed on Spotify Fresh Finds Canada. In 2026 he continues an active release run with singles lie my way into the truth and words don't describe (May 2026), mtv unplugged (March 2026), and the new album SYSTEM BREAKS (May 2026) — all recorded and mixed largely by Storm himself at his Vancouver studio.
