Mastiksoul is the stage name of Fernando Figueira, a Portuguese DJ and producer who has been active since 1992 and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Portugal's dance music scene. He founded his own label 4Kenzo Recordings early in his career and later launched Playlist, earning recognition including the 2008 Beatport Music Awards for Best House Producer. His catalog spans latin house, kuduro, and tribal club music, with global hits such as "Tou Na Moda," "Gasosa," and the Shaggy collaboration "Good For You," plus remix work for Shaggy, OMI, and other major acts. Collaborations across his career include Akon, Buraka Som Sistema, Mariza, Rita Guerra, and Los Manitos. Recent releases include the 2025 album I Am Mastiksoul, singles "Pôr do Sol (Kuduru Remix)" and "A Minha Casinha" (2026), and the fresh cut "Amo-Te" (June 2026).
