Malumz on Decks is a South African house music DJ and producer duo of Oscar Nyathi and Mandla Mtshali, based in Ekurhuleni east of Johannesburg. Their name comes from the Zulu word for “uncles.” They build afro house and deep house with live bass, keys, percussion and vocals, and run their own imprint OWN IT MUSIC. Breakthrough radio records include “Shay’inumber” and the Mpho.Wav collab “Teka,” which logged long SA airplay and seven-figure streams. They have won a South African Music Award (Best Remix of the Year) with further SAMA nominations, held a Metro FM Urban Beat residency, and remain active with 2025–2026 singles such as “1 To 3 Step” and “uMa Ka Girl.” Follow their sets and mixes via Instagram and the Afro Feelings series.
