Bio

mädmäx is a Hamburg-based beatmaker and producer crafting jazz-infused lo-fi, chillhop, and instrumental hip-hop built from warm samples, dusty drums, and late-night atmospheres. He serves as A&R at the French label Hip Dozer and cites influences including 9th Wonder, Apollo Brown, DJ Premier, and FloFilz. His catalog spans vinyl and streaming releases such as the BoomBap LP Basement Jazz and the 2026 album The Midnight Hour — an 11-track late-night project mixed and mastered by Tribegut, also issued as a limited translucent-purple cassette with Inner Ocean Records. Collaborations include Civin (Casa Bahía vinyl; Moonlight Reflections) and features with Swight Dultz. Beyond solo work he runs a widely followed Chill Beats playlist and keeps an active release cadence across Spotify, Bandcamp, and Apple Music.
