Born and raised in London, Made By Pete (James Edwards) is an artist, songwriter, producer and DJ whose catalogue has been celebrated across electronic music's most influential circles. A mainstay on Damian Lazarus' Crosstown Rebels and founder of his own imprint Life In Colour, his emotionally rich sound spans melodic house, organic grooves and Afro-influenced rhythms. His 2023 single "Horizon Red" with Zoe Kypri surpassed 30 million streams, earned a Black Coffee remix on Crosstown Rebels' 20th anniversary, and was hailed as a future classic by Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 — later performed live at Madison Square Garden. Subsequent releases "Fires" (2024) and "In My Head" with Secret Echoes (2025) both won BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune status, and his Essential Mix marked a pivotal DJ milestone. With a long-running Blue Marlin Ibiza residency and shows at Fabric, Hï, Pacha and Brooklyn Mirage, he is preparing his debut album Rosebank (July 2026) from his home studio on Rosebank Road.
