Luzee
Davide Luzi, known as Luzee, is an Italian bassist, beatmaker and producer from Bologna active since 2017. His project merges electronics with organic sampling—drawing from hip-hop, jazz, soul and everyday environmental sounds beyond traditional crate-digging. He debuted with Waterdrops (Miraloop Spades, 2017), followed by beat tapes The Loop Room (2019) and Seed (2021), plus collaborations with Giulio Campaniello (Subconscio) including singles Around You and Shine and the album Il Mondo Invisibile (2022). Cutting (Beat's Tailors, 2022) and Beats for Smoke (2024) deepened his instrumental lane, while the 2025 joint LP Autoritratto with Qael and Afro Sketches (Ragoo Records, 2025) showcase boom-bap and lo-fi production built on MPC and SP-404. Luzee also produces for Bologna-scene artists including Qael, Subconscio and Amir Issaa, with new 2026 releases continuing his catalog.
