Lunar Isles is the moniker of David Skimming, a Scottish multi-instrumentalist and bedroom producer who crafts hazy indie-pop with a DIY approach. After a decade living in South Korea, Skimming returned to Scotland in 2026 to build on the dreamy surf-pop and shoegaze-tinged sound he developed abroad. His catalog spans five albums — from 2021 debut Tides through April 2026's After Dark — plus a steady run of singles including Moonlight and Second Chances. Music from Lunar Isles has aired on BBC Radio Scotland, landed on David Dean Burkhart and The Daily Dose channels, appeared on a Vinyl Moon compilation, and synced to NBC's Grosse Pointe Garden Society.
