Louk (Louk Cox) is an Amsterdam-based producer and multi-instrumentalist — saxophone, flute and clarinet — born in Austin, Texas to a Dutch mother and a Texan father. He began playing saxophone at age 12 and graduated from the University of Texas Jazz Program, where he formed the horn section Soul Food Horns. After relocating to Amsterdam in 2017, he founded Cole Slaw Records in 2020, an international collective devoted to the intersection of hip-hop and jazz in the digital era. His sound fuses live instrumentation with lo-fi and jazz-beat production, and he releases steadily through singles and collaborations with artists such as DESH, Calvin Bennett and Priscilla Ahn.
