Bio

lophiile is the stage name of Tyler Joseph Acord (b. 1990, Lakewood, Washington), a Los Angeles-based record producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. A 2018 Grammy Award winner for his production work with H.E.R., he became a go-to producer for a generation of forward-thinking R&B and soul artists, with early sessions and credits alongside Amber Mark, GoldLink, Gallant, Vic Mensa, Col3trane and Masego. A trained drummer who once played in the metal band A Memoria Brooded, he brings live instrumentation and a jazz-tinged, textural sensibility to his beats. As a solo artist he released the project The Good Days Between (2023) and is signed to the storied Blue Note Records, where he continues to release new music. He remains active in 2026 with the single Cold World, blending alternative R&B, neo-soul and electronic production into a distinctive, musician's-producer sound.
