Bio

lightheart is the side project of Rotterdam-based drummer, beatmaker, and producer Nadesh Lighthart — also known as DESH. Growing up with a father who ran a music school, she started on keys before switching to drums and began producing around 2017. Endorsed by Zildjian and TAMA, she has drummed live for Joya Mooi, Tom Browne, and Bnnyhunna while releasing jazz- and soul-influenced beats under both DESH and lightheart. Her music lands on major Spotify editorials including Jazz Vibes, Smooth Jazz Beats, lush lofi, and lofi beats, with placement on 20,000+ independent playlists. Recent 2026 singles include Golden Hour, Nocturne II, and Textures of Blue, maintaining a prolific release cadence.
