Leaving Laurel is the introspective melodic electronic project of Canadian producer Gordon Huntley, originally founded in late 2019 with American artist Pierce Fulton and inspired by time spent in Laurel Canyon. Signed to Anjunadeep, the project built a catalog of cassette-warm downtempo and melodic house before Pierce’s death in 2021; Gordon has since carried Leaving Laurel forward as a solo producer, later releasing the grief-rooted album when the quiet comes (2023) and the hopeful third album our lives entwined (January 2026). Recent Anjunadeep singles including together (we are more), her certain uncertainty, and we carried one another led into our lives entwined (remixed) and the July 21 2026 single another good start. The music has earned support from SiriusXM Chill, BBC Radio 1, and DJs such as Lane 8, Nora En Pure, Black Coffee, and Joris Voorn. Huntley also tours the project live, with dates spanning clubs and festivals while keeping leavinglaurel.com as the hub for music and contact.
