Bio

LAR is the moniker of UK-born producer and DJ Matt Larden, now based in Stockholm, who has carved a niche in melodic and progressive house since his 2021 debut. His inaugural release Flawed on Monstercat Silk introduced a signature blend of organic rhythms, emotive melodies, and groovy basslines, evolving through breakbeat and UK garage influences into warm, vocal-led club records. Signed to Anjunadeep Explorations, Colorize, Stress Records, and ZeroThree, he has amassed over 20 million global streams with support from Marsh, Durante, Shingo Nakamura, David Guetta, Sultan + Shepard, and Mark Knight. His June 2026 single Dragging You Down / Rewind pairs UK songwriter Coulson and American vocalist Taylr Renee — released the same day it was featured on James Grant's Movement Vol. 6 compilation filmed in Watamu, Kenya. With 12+ releases in 2024 alone and performances at Anjunadeep's Malta weekender and Explorations Festival, LAR is a high-output mid-tier producer building momentum on a steady release cadence into 2026.
