Active since 2009, he crafts warm, hypnotic tracks that fuse Latin American folk traditions — cumbia, chacarera and huayno — with downtempo electronica and light psychedelic textures, a sound often described as 'digital folklore.' The name Lagartijeando was inspired by the lazy coolness of the lizards he watched crawling over rocks in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Across more than five albums he has recorded for labels including ZZK, Waxploitation and Wonderwheel Recordings, among them La Tercera Visión (2021) and 7 Caminos (2025). His instrumental production is layered and sample-driven, rooted in Andean and Amazonian sound and built for both the dancefloor and deep listening. With his latest single 'Wirikuta' arriving in May 2026, Lagartijeando remains one of the most prolific and respected figures of the Latin American electronic-folk movement. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/lagartijeando#artistas) 4.2M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2023 Verified streams · verified today 4,178,618 +3 K a day · +101 K a month, on average 20 projects · 10 artists · since 2023 spotify 100 % 4,178,618 89 days · Total ## Records [20K has passed 20,000 streams Que Lindo Sale la Luna Lagartijeando 22 days ago](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/que-lindo-sale-la-luna) [250K has passed 250,000 streams Madre Tierra - Lagartijeando Remix Namirí, Lagartijeando 43 days ago](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/madre-tierra-lagartijeando-remix) [70K has passed 70,000 streams El Uno - Yemanjo Remix Lagartijeando 47 days ago](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/el-uno-yemanjo-remix) [20K has passed 20,000 streams Buenaventura Lagartijeando 51 days ago](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/buenaventura) Most played ## Most played [01 Mano de Fatima Lagartijeando, La Forastería 787.912 788 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/mano-de-fatima) [02 Fiesta de las Sierras Lagartijeando 444.181 444 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/fiesta-de-las-sierras) [03 Madre Tierra - Lagartijeando Remix Namirí, Lagartijeando 272.783 273 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/madre-tierra-lagartijeando-remix) [04 Guinea Congo Lagartijeando 221.544 222 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/guinea-congo-4) [05 Guinea Congo Lagartijeando 221.544 222 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/guinea-congo-2) [06 Guinea Congo Lagartijeando 221.544 222 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/guinea-congo) [07 Guinea Congo Lagartijeando 221.544 222 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/guinea-congo-3) [08 Tierra Natal - Barzo Remix Lagartijeando 139.158 139 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/tierra-natal-barzo-remix) [09 Tierra Natal - Barzo Remix Lagartijeando 139.158 139 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/tierra-natal-barzo-remix-2) [10 Crepúsculo - Palka & Melina Remix Lagartijeando 135.985 136 K](https://obra.art/lagartijeando/crepusculo-palka-and-melina-remix) Has worked with ## 10 artists.
