Born in Mountain View, California and raised in San Diego from the age of eight, he grew up navigating questions of identity and assimilation that now anchor his songwriting. He self-produces his catalog, layering honeyed vocals over warm analog textures and diaristic lyrics that move between indie pop, soul and alternative R&B. His debut album 'SOL' (2025), an 18-track coming-of-age statement, is named after his grandmother Solita ('Grandma Sol') and turns kitchen-table wisdom and family memory into cinematic, lived-in storytelling. Lead singles 'MANGOES AND RICE' and 'PARALLEL' foreground his Filipino heritage, family and community. Across four albums and a steady stream of singles he has built a deep, engaged catalog and recently ranked among the top indie artists worldwide. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/labit#artistas) 31.9M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2024 Verified streams · verified today 31,904,908 +26 K a day · +771 K a month, on average 20 projects · 7 artists · since 2024 spotify 100 % 31,904,908 79 days · Total ## Records [900K has passed 900,000 streams Someday Faraway - with Jereena Montemayor Labit, Jereena Montemayor 17 days ago](https://obra.art/labit/someday-faraway-with-jereena-montemayor) [800K has passed 800,000 streams 2 Labit, Patrick Hizon 21 days ago](https://obra.art/labit/2) [250K has passed 250,000 streams I'M A SIX, AND SHE'S LIKE A NINETY Labit 23 days ago](https://obra.art/labit/im-a-six-and-shes-like-a-ninety-2) [250K has passed 250,000 streams I'M A SIX, AND SHE'S LIKE A NINETY Labit 23 days ago](https://obra.art/labit/im-a-six-and-shes-like-a-ninety) Most played ## Most played [01 Someday Faraway Labit 18.298.258 18 M](https://obra.art/labit/someday-faraway) [02 Summer Died Labit 5.812.327 5,8 M](https://obra.art/labit/summer-died) [03 Someday Faraway - with Jereena Montemayor Labit, Jereena Montemayor 903.576 904 K](https://obra.art/labit/someday-faraway-with-jereena-montemayor) [04 Close To You Labit 867.840 868 K](https://obra.art/labit/close-to-you-2) [05 2 Labit, Patrick Hizon 828.120 828 K](https://obra.art/labit/2) [06 Someday Faraway - sped up Labit 561.063 561 K](https://obra.art/labit/someday-faraway-sped-up-2) [07 LEADS (ME TO YOU) Labit 487.209 487 K](https://obra.art/labit/leads-me-to-you-2) [08 LEADS (ME TO YOU) Labit 487.209 487 K](https://obra.art/labit/leads-me-to-you) [09 PARALLEL Labit 264.057 264 K](https://obra.art/labit/parallel) [10 I'M A SIX, AND SHE'S LIKE A NINETY Labit 250.723 251 K](https://obra.art/labit/im-a-six-and-shes-like-a-ninety-2) Has worked with ## 7 artists.
