L-Side — born Leonardo de Jesus Silva in Ribeirao Pires, on the outskirts of Sao Paulo — is one of the most formidable producers to emerge from Brazil's flourishing drum & bass scene. He launched his DJ and production career in 2008, initially making hip-hop beats (shaped by Gang Starr, The Pharcyde and A Tribe Called Quest) before channelling that funk and aggression into a minimal, dancefloor-focused take on drum & bass. V Recordings spotted him early, releasing his first track 'Horn Dance' on the 'Chronic Big Bad & Heavy' compilation in 2011, and he has since become a core artist on the label. His sound — deep basslines, soulful samples and unmistakable Brazilian groove — has earned support from drum & bass figureheads including DJ Marky, Bryan Gee, LTJ Bukem, Bailey and Doc Scott, alongside collaborations with Subsid, Andrezz, Alibi, Command Strange and Critycal Dub. His latest single 'Unsaid' arrived in June 2026, the newest entry in a deep and steadily growing catalog of EPs and singles. With around 61,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, he is a productive, well-connected mid-tier producer with a devoted international following.
