Keyon Harrold is a Grammy Award-winning trumpeter, vocalist, composer, and producer from Ferguson, Missouri — one of 16 children raised in a family of musicians. Wynton Marsalis has called him 'the future of the trumpet.' He graduated from the New School for Jazz in New York City and quickly became one of the most in-demand sidemen in popular music, appearing with Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Maxwell, Common, and Gregory Porter. He recorded the soundtrack for the Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead, earning a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. As a bandleader, his solo albums The Mugician (2017), Foreverland (2024), and the 2026 releases energy! and MF AF examine social issues and musical fusion through jazz, hip-hop, blues, and neo-soul. Harrold is signed to Concord Jazz and operates at the crossroads of jazz credibility and popular music production, bringing his production and composition skills to a uniquely wide roster of collaborators.
