kavv is a New Zealand-based hip-hop beatmaker and sample-based producer working in the lo-fi, jazz beats, and downtempo space. Active since 2018, he has built a catalog of more than 60 Spotify releases — including the early EPs Emotions and New Beginnings (2018), the nativity LP (2021), and the winter, Vol. 1 (2023) and winter, Vol. 2 (2026) projects co-produced with longtime collaborator farewell. His sound layers ambient textures, jazz piano samples, and trip-hop drums into ethereal, downtempo soundscapes, and his work appears regularly alongside lo-fi staples such as Dontcry, Xfruge and Philanthrope. Beyond his own releases, kavv self-publishes loop kits (the kavv's lofi essentials series) for other producers via Bandcamp and runs an active Discord community for fans and beatmakers.
