Kaval (Rémi Kaval) is a Toulouse-based producer and DJ known as the "King of Drums" for his MPC2000XL-driven productions in UK funky, hard drum, tribal house, and bass music. Originally from Toulouse, he makes the vintage sampler smoke with percussive tracks built for maximum impact — a style shaped by his graffiti background and insistence on efficiency over ornament. He produces exclusively on the MPC2000XL, turning technological constraints into a signature sound that has landed releases on Sneaker Social Club, Nowadays, and his own KVLDUBS series. A member of the Egregore collective and co-organizer of the Ruff Club rave series in Toulouse, he bridges gqom, UK funky, and tribal derivatives with a sound-system spirit.
