Karen Nyame KG — also known as the “Goddess of Rhythm” — is a British-Ghanaian producer, DJ and broadcaster based in London. For nearly a decade she has shaped UK Funky and Afro-electronic club music with African polyrhythms, low-end sub-bass and high-energy percussion, drawing on her Ghanaian heritage. She founded the Rhythm In The City label and party series as a home for UK Funky, amapiano, gqom and Afro house hybrids, and in 2026 released the Epiphany EP alongside Mixmag’s The Mix 111. Her catalogue spans original EPs and remixes for artists including Pink Pantheress, Kelela, Hikaru Utada, Ragz Originale and BAMBII, with mixes for Boiler Room, Resident Advisor (RA.936), BBC Radio 1 / 1Xtra, NTS and FACT.
