Bio

Kanetaker is the artist name of Kane Wang (Zhikai Wang), an electronic music producer, DJ, and sound designer based in Edinburgh, UK. Originally from China, he holds a BA in Music Production and an MSc in Sound Design from the University of Edinburgh, combining underground UK culture with technical precision across UK Garage, bassline, bass house, drum & bass, and dubstep. His releases on House Call, Gold Digger, Bass House Music, Garage Shared, 3000 Bass, Uprise, Diverge, and his own Wang Records have earned Beatport Top 10 UK Garage/Bassline and Top 50 Bass House placements, with support from Don Diablo, Dr. Fresch, Bijou, FooR, and Fantom Freq. Beatportal featured him among emerging artists on their radar. He co-curated Garage Shared's first UK Garage EP by Chinese artists and keeps a relentless 2026 release schedule (Alone, Destructive, Nothing Else Matters) while offering mixing, mastering, and production services to independent artists worldwide.
