Bio

Junia-T (Jonathan Lindo) is a Toronto-based producer, DJ and songwriter, and one of the central figures of Canada's contemporary hip-hop and R&B scene. He has spent years touring the world as Jessie Reyez's live DJ while quietly building a deep catalogue of his own production work. His 2020 album Studio Monk, featuring a who's-who of Canadian hip-hop and R&B collaborators, was longlisted for the Polaris Music Prize and is widely regarded as a modern Canadian classic. He runs Soleil Sound Studio, where he produces and collaborates with artists like Jessie Reyez and Slakah the Beatchild. In 2026 he returned with a prolific run of new music, including the album Forager (April 2026) plus a steady stream of singles. His sound blends soulful, jazz-tinged boom-bap with warm, modern R&B, anchored by live musicianship and a collaborative, community-minded approach.
