j'san is the lo-fi chillhop project of Julien Santos, a producer from Paris, France. His father gave him his first guitar at age six and taught him to play; he began producing in 2016 and has built a signature sound around live guitar, bass, keys and field-recorded nature sounds. He releases primarily on SoundCloud and Spotify and is a frequent collaborator across the chillhop scene — his 2018 collaboration with Pandrezz, sunny (a cover of Bobby Hebb's 1966 soul-jazz classic), has surpassed 34 million streams.
