Jonny Abbey is a Lisbon-based guitarist, producer, and composer crafting guitar-led lo-fi and chill hop rooted in soulful melodies, organic textures, and warm analog tones. His focus is creating emotion without words—letting songwriting, feel, and nuance carry the story through intimate, human-made instrumentals. The alter ego of Portuguese musician João Abrantes, his work spans lo-fi, chill hop, and instrumental hip hop with cinematic guitar lines and field-recorded atmospheres. Debut album Everything is a Song (2025, Flow State Records) is built around recordings from his own life—a meditation on memory, imperfection, and presence led by his guitar. Singles like Rio Lisboa, Benção, Abelha, and jiji's whisper (2025–2026) have landed on major lo-fi playlists worldwide, driving ~209k monthly Spotify listeners.
