Jinjé is the solo electronic project of Lee J. Malcolm, a Yorkshire-based producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist from Leeds, United Kingdom. With releases on Mesh, Ostgut Ton, Different, Messrs Kick & Drum, Earthly Measures, and his own label Making Friends, he fuses house, techno, and experimental electronica with live instrumentation and deep, hypnotic grooves. As founding member and main songwriter of Vessels (Cuckundoo, BIAS/Leaf, Different/PIAS), he has toured extensively across Europe for over two decades, playing stages from Glastonbury and Melt to ADE and Berghain-adjacent rooms. His June 2026 EP Traces & Tremors on Earthly Measures spans koto-driven melodies, tribal vocal textures, and deep karplus-strong adventures built for both dancefloors and headphones. He has earned BBC Radio 1, 6Music, and XLR8R support, with regular DJ plays from Jon Hopkins, Max Cooper, Gerd Jansen, and nd_baumecker.
