Brooklyn-based producer, DJ and founder of Short Circuit, Jeff Sorkowitz builds dark, sexy minimal-tech and deep tech house for warehouses and big rooms alike. A former corporate attorney who left Georgetown Law and NYC firm life to go all-in on dance music, he blends Romanian-minimal groove with New York hip-hop sampling and intricate percussion. His catalog spans Short Circuit plus Deeperfect, HedzUp, Andhera, Materialism, Distance, Knee Deep in Sound, Take Notes and Joshwa’s No Bad Fridays. Tracks have earned support from Michael Bibi, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Loco Dice, Mau P, John Summit and Gorgon City, and have been rinsed from Printworks and DC-10 to Space Miami and Brooklyn Mirage. In July 2026 he debuted on Insomniac’s IN / ROTATION with Move Shake — his first release featuring his own vocals — after Carl Cox used the track for a viral festival entrance at Château de Chantilly.
