Jauz is the stage name of Sam Vogel, a Los Angeles-based electronic music producer and DJ born September 2, 1993, widely regarded as the 'Godfather of Bass House.' Growing up in Northern California and later attending Icon Collective music production school in Los Angeles, Vogel developed his signature genre-blurring sound — weaving together trap, dubstep, bass house, and speed house into music that sounds equally powerful at Coachella and in a 300-person club. His breakout 2014 single 'Feel the Volume' on Diplo's Mad Decent label earned co-signs from Zedd, Skrillex, and Diplo, launching him into a headline career that has spanned EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and two headline albums on his own Bite This! Records imprint — The Wise and the Wicked (2018) and Rise of the Wise (2023). Jauz has collaborated with DJ Snake, Zeds Dead, and numerous other artists while carving out a distinctive space as a producer who crosses genre lines without apology. In 2025 he continued an active release schedule through Bite This!, including 'Lose Control' and the Shake Shit Up Tour.
