Jackson Mathod

Bio

Jackson Mathod is a London-based multi-instrumentalist, trumpeter, singer, and producer whose music blends jazz-funk, nu jazz, and soul with dub and hip-hop influences. After studying jazz at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2009, he spent years on the session circuit working with artists including Stormzy and Jordan Rakei before launching his solo path in 2020. His debut album Travels in a Confined Space (2021) earned support from BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Worldwide FM, and Jazz FM, with editorial placements on Spotify playlists like State of Jazz and Jazz-Funk. Follow-up releases including Volte-Face (2024), Studio Natives Vol. 1 (2025), and collaborations with edbl, FloFilz, and Osamu Fukuzawa have expanded his catalog across the UK jazz and electronic scene. His 2026 singles Mama Going Out and Lavender keep a steady release pace, with upcoming shows at Ronnie Scott's and the 606 Club in London.
