PRODUCER · DJ · BEATMAKER

Originally from Tayport and now based in Edinburgh, J Wax is a Scottish DJ and producer who entered the electronic scene in 2019 with the debut EP Port to Port. A founding member of the Palidrone collective and label, he moves fluidly between UK garage, breakbeat, speed garage, and techno — with standout releases on Future Classic, Headroom Records, PRESSURE, and his own J Wax imprint. His track Oceans landed on the EA Sports F1 23 soundtrack, while singles like Nasty and Brat earned Mixmag Tracks of the Year nods and BBC Radio 1 support from Pete Tong and Jaguar. Entering 2026 with fresh drops including Raw Flava, Want Ur Love, and Burning Up, he has been championed by Peggy Gou, Interplanetary Criminal, DJ Seinfeld, and Main Phase, with international shows in Japan, Belgium, and Ireland. Spotify's New UK Garage playlist recently featured him as cover artist, reflecting his role in the current UKG revival.
