J.Folk is the lo-fi hip hop alias of Norwegian producer Jerry Folk, an Oslo-born beatmaker who channels jazz chords, boom-bap drums, and hazy textures into instrumental tapes built for late nights and rainy afternoons. Released through Chillhop Music and College Music Records, his catalog spans beat tapes like chillhop beat tapes: J.Folk and chillhop double beat tapes: J.Folk [Side A], the album Bittersweet Days a Week, and a steady run of singles that landed on Chillhop Essentials compilations across 2022–2025. His production sits between old-school hip-hop swing and modern lo-fi warmth — cozy, nostalgic, and rhythmically loose. In June 2026 he dropped "Seis," a melancholic standout previewing Chillhop Essentials Fall 2026, continuing a release streak that includes 2025 singles like Shoegaze, Luck, and Move Slow. For a producer with deep roots in Norway's electronic scene and a dedicated instrumental audience, J.Folk is the beatmaker persona where catalog depth and streaming momentum meet.
