Hollow Shift is the Athens-based electronic duo of Alex Zamparas and Jessica Bell — a producer and vocalist partnership born from their earlier work in the Keep Shelly in Athens circle. Alex, an Athenian multi-instrumentalist and former guitarist for Keep Shelly in Athens, also shaped the city's underground through Expert Medicine and Fever Kids; his brooding synth production, textured rhythms, and driving low end define the project's backbone. Jessica, an Australian-born singer-songwriter based in Athens, brings cinematic, emotionally charged vocals that balance the duo's darkwave, post-punk, and new-wave pulse. Since launching in 2025, they've released at a relentless pace — singles and EPs including Reload, Hades, and the June 2026 War three-tracker — blending the moods of Tempers, Molchat Doma, and New Order into music that is introspective yet irresistibly danceable. Magnetic Magazine spotlighted War in June 2026 as their most ambitious work yet, pushing synthwave and post-punk into luxuriant, genre-bending territory built for late-night floors and headphone immersion.
