He started out playing drums and guitar before evolving into a beatmaker shaped by the likes of J Dilla, Madlib, Flying Lotus and Kiefer. His catalog spans three albums — Undertones (2021, with Yasper), the genre-blending Twelve Chapters (2022) and Shades of Purple (2024), a 15-track journey through jazz, soul, funk and electronica — alongside a steady stream of singles, the most recent being Forward Motion (February 2026). Beyond streaming, Glimlip performs live with a seven-piece band at venues and festivals including the North Sea Jazz Festival and Amsterdam's Bimhuis. He also runs a popular YouTube channel sharing original drum kits, sample packs and production tutorials. ## Has worked with [Explore all credits](https://obra.art/glimlip#artistas) 8.5M Total plays & views Projects20 Since2023 Verified streams · verified today 8,514,833 +2 K a day · +72 K a month, on average 20 projects · 16 artists · since 2023 spotify 100 % 8,514,833 87 days · Total ## Records [100K has passed 100,000 streams Forward Motion Glimlip, Ron Cha, Anna Serierse 29 days ago](https://obra.art/glimlip/forward-motion) [300K has passed 300,000 streams Tight Rope 9ICK, Glimlip, Slug 73 days ago](https://obra.art/glimlip/tight-rope) [90K has passed 90,000 streams Ta Ta Tee Glimlip, Søren Søstrom, Sara Kawai 106 days ago](https://obra.art/glimlip/ta-ta-tee) Most played ## Most played [01 Whoo!
